I'm seriously debating on buying this setup. However I'm not really sure what I am doing either. Any suggestions and feed back would be appreciated. 20201119_063217.jpg

GigaParts is a great place to deal with. I've bought plenty from them over the years. That price on the FTM-400XDR is too much. I bought one brand new from Gigaparts in October 2019 for only $449.95. Don't forget that Black Friday and Cyber Week are coming up.

There's always the used market: swap.qth.com and qrz.com are both great places to find great deals. This FTM-400XDR was listed yesterday: https://swap.qth.com/view_ad.php?counter=1514645

I don't mean to sound naive, but I have never had a bad experience dealing with another ham radio operator on these sites. Believe me, I have bought and sold thousands of dollars of radio gear in my ham radio career which started in 1984. It's a great way to spend your disposable income!
