Grooming trails post event

By Ryan Harden in Event Videos 333 views 24th May 2020 Video Duration: 00:01:20   9113 Camp Siwana Rd, Valders, WI 54245, USA

Working together with the rangers at Camp Sinawa! The camp is embarking on creating specific hiking and biking trails to alleviate the pressure to keep the logging roads walkable. They realize their user groups are different, and require different trails for different types of recreations. Our trails are slow speed so they have obstacles and are rougher. The hiking and biking trails are smoother and don't have standing water (with reinforced rock of course) and that sort of thing. Because we volunteer our time and equipment to maintain both types of trails, we've created great relationships with all the user groups who utilize this facility. This relationship pays off with more slow speed trails! Together we trail, divided we fail. Thanks Dick Schmidt for the donation of the groomer!

switch the Jeep from 33 to 38 inch tires we took a simple home scale and measured the lb difference. Going to a larger tire usually adds a substantial amount of rolling weight. It's always a good idea to install a bigger set of brakes when upgrading your tires and rims.

Doing everything we can to make quality vests for our trail ambassadors. The ends justify the means, but it's a lot of work that people don't see. Working your full-time day job just to turn around and volunteer every single night to make memberships and get things ready for classes. Someday we'll have the staff to do this all without burning anybody out... But that day isn't today haha.
