Trail Ambassadors patrolling Tigerton today had to ask people to leave again... people keep bringing full-sized rigs and non-registered/Non-Insured/Non-Road Legal vehicles into the park. If we don't protect our only public 4x4 Park, we'll lose it!

I'm going to try and put together a fundraiser for some more trail cams. We gotta try and do more to keep this park open. Please spread the word and report violations to the park. Together, we can keep this park open!

Trail cams are a great idea but I think signage stating the rules and that law enforcement will be called if rules aren't followed would be good too. I personally haven't ever looked at Tigerton's website, but at the park I only saw one piece of paper talking about full sized vehicles not being allowed. Maybe signs won't change much, since people ignore the "helmets required" signs, but it may help.

I'm in total agreement with Sara. Money spent on trail cams would be a complete waste of our money.
I just now went to the Park's website to see the rules concerning vehicle specs and found nothing on their home page or park rules. The only place I saw the road legal limitations was on the Road Legal 4x4 tab. When I was there a few months ago I don't remember seeing any signage that stated the limitations either.
It's hard to blame the owners of fullsize and unlicensed vehicles for breaking the rules when the rules aren't plainly displayed and stated. If I was them and was told I had to leave; I would not be happy.
1) Make a phone call to the park staff asking them to update their website. Display on the home page in bold print the limitations, and add it as the first item on the rules page.
2) Have the park make a sign (4' x 8') to be placed at the entrance of the park stating the limitations. Have another large sign at the registration building.

I had a chance to talk with Megan Smith yesterday and they have signs at the top of the priority list. We talked at length about some key ideas they have to help with the problems.

Mark Morrall, trail cams kept Sinawa and The Homestead open for us so I know for a fact they are not a waste of money when they help catch people who can't follow the rules. We're not talking the high-dollar cell phone enabled ones here, cams are a very affordable way to have eyes on the trail at all times.

Can someone comment on what the "full size" is? Also, does anyone know if I can just go to Tigerton ride by myself or do I need to wait for an event?
My truck is a Lexus LX470/Land Cruiser.

Thanks for a quick response Ryan. We might get a chance to check out the park this weekend, probably on Saturday. I will be listening in on GMRS channel 16 in case any other fellow RL4WD members are there.
