I've been playing with my new set of Talkabout T800 radios. I have 2 cell phones, so I have each radio paired to a different phone. The text messaging works great. I haven't been able to test the &...

  • Richard Felbab, the event promoter, came over last night and gave an update. Kohler company is providing some nice raffle prizes along with others! Best he can figure, we'll have 50 rigs in this thing! He's secured a trailer so we don't have to stop in the event to hand off the goods. We'll collect it all before the event in the parking lot.

This event goes from town of Sheboygan to City and back to town. Rick talked with the sheriff's office and they'll try and have a deputy on site to aid with traffic. While the county police don't seem to have an issue with us having the Christmas lights on during our ride type parade thing, the CITY cops have a much different attitude and appeared to be much harder to work with.

We were not able to secure a parade permit so running lights on the road isn't legal. I repeat you run the risk of a ticket if you turn your xmas lights on while on the public roadway. Tom De Sombre got pulled over last year while heading back with the group so yes, this is a real thing to be concerned about.

We want to be sure this event is compliant with all laws and we want everyone to be safe, so just a heads up. We value working with local officials to keep developing a positive relationship within our riding community. We can't get trails without their help in many cases.
