I'm having trouble with some of the social elements after last weekend's attempt at a remote edit (without enough service). Working on fixing it today.

Added help area at the top of the community and forum areas of the site. integrated forum topics in the sidebar of the community area. Added search and topics to the forum sidebars. Overall, just trying to make it easier to find info.

Trail levels were cleaned up today level and what that level is was added to the search so there is less digging.

After much review - going to take out bypasses. Bypasses from the directory criteria as it may lead people off the trail which may not be legal. If a legal bypass is in the trail, it will be written in the description by the mapping folks and reviewers. We don't want to show a level 7 trails with a level 3 bypass and then someone misses the bypass and takes the lvl 7 trail anyway. Anything that can be confusing is going to be taken out.

It appears that there is a bug here where if normal users do not have event creation permission, they are not able to view page events.

A fix has been applied. Please report if you're having troubles with events.

As we continue to make site improvements I went ahead and disabled many of the emails that were being sent for things like "likes" and such. This should reduce emails that really don't need to be sent, you'll still see it in your notifications, but things that warrant emails are moreso for things that request you to respond in some fashion.

If you have suggestions on emails you don't think should be on by default, let me know. Otherwise, you should enjoy a bit less email clutter coming from the site.

We've identified the error with the donation screen graying out. Still working on this.

Still waiting on the review writing conflict and the donation program not working together. One of the program is using an older text editor and it conflicts with the reviews editor. If it's not fixed soon, we'll have to use a different donate option.

I'm having issues with photos not showing up in the timeline on PC but they show up on phone. Working on this throughout the day, hopefully we can have all these things fixed before the weekend.

You will no longer get notifications when people are not attending an event or function. Nobody cares if you can't go to something ;)

You will no longer be notified when someone joins a group. Those emails and pop-ups are too frequent and annoying.

Thanks! I'm a marketing and sales guy who plays a website designer junkie on nights and weekends... usually it leads to cuss words and drinking.

Today we'll be updating our community. Here are the changes taking effect after the full site backup.

OpenStreetMap Integration - Google Maps is a paid mapping solution, OpenStreetMap is free so we'll use that as the base map.

Disable the IDs in the SEF URLs entirely. So events and pages will no longer have those odd numbers at the end of them when you share something.

Improved Users Listing - The all new and improved filters on the user listing page has branched out for My Friends and My Followers as well. This allows users to quickly search for their friends and followers but minus the hassle.

Adding advertisement options. This is being done so we can offer a free profile on the site, those folks will see more ads. We're not going with the lame google ads that mostly google keeps, we're adding a nice layout for folks like chambers and businesses to create ads relevant to trails, and 4x4 businesses. These funds help up build trails, add funds to the grant fund, and get equipment. This runs very much like Adsense or Facebook ads in that folks can pick between per impressions or clicks and it can be narrowed down for a specific region so a Jeep dealer ad in Green Bay won't show up for members in Superior, etc.

Improved Notifications - The notifications are able to show user reactions for every stream item. With this, it provides users with a much clearer view of these notifications.

Photos & Albums Tagging improvements.

User Poll Statistics - Poll statistics will now be visible in the about user page. It will also display all the created polls and votes received of the user as well. This makes it easier to keep track fo polls you created.

Task Management for Groups & Events - Event and group owners can now assign and modify tasks to their members in its respective milestones. Moreover, all tasks are also sorted to their due dates.

AcyMailing 6 Integration

Improved Privacy - User privacy should never be taken lightly. The team has made efforts to improve privacy in this version. It involves denormalizing the access of each media item in Photos, Albums, Audio and Videos to have its own access columns. In other words, a lightweight privacy processing that's more robust for each listing. So say you want to share only some photos publicly in an album, this is going to be easier to do now.

Any questions let me know.
