Join us through the scenic Kettle Moraine along the Southeast Wisconsin Overlanding Tour for a day of trail and road fun! This is a full day of overlanding, and stock rigs are welcome!

Our adventure will begin for breakfast at the Riverview Restaurant in Kiel, WI, at 8 am (optional), and then at about 9 am, we'll begin our convoy north. The northern route takes us through many gravel roads and wildlife areas, including Camp Sinawa, where we will do a few laps of some slow speed trails. It's advised to have mud tires and a functional four-wheel drive for our tour's Camp Sinawa leg. We'll be donating $10 per rig to Camp Sinawa, and they will have an optional chili fundraiser where you can buy cold chili and cookies for home.

Next, we'll head to United Ministries, where we'll drop off non-perishable food for their 3 food banks, toys for underprivileged kids, and clothing for their thrift stores. United Ministries provides 300-500 meals for the poor in SEWI EACH WEEK year-round. We'll take a drive around their property and see one of the few registered historical landmarks in the area.

After United Ministries, we'll continue to weave through the beautiful Kettle Moraine roads and trails.

Around dusk, we'll end up in Sheboygan to tour the amazing Making Spirits Bright hosted by the rotary club to donate food and funds. We suggest having Christmas lights on your rig and turning them on as we enter the park. We usually do this after the Jaycees Holiday Parade, but since that got canceled this year, we'll make it part of the overlanding tour.
For supper, we will plan to meet at Luigi's Restaurant in Sheboygan, where we'll light up the rigs in the parking lot. Their menu is at - https://luigissheboygan.com/menu if you want to take a look.

Equipment needed for this ride -

Valid Premium Membership (for private property access) If you're not a member yet, go to https://rl4wd.com/member/join/online to help us fund building more trails.

Rig must pass tech inspection. Here are the checklist and waiver to print off and fill out. These will also be on-site if you don't have a printer. - https://rl4wd.com/trails/waiver

Communication: Ham 146.460 OR 446.000 WITH aprs ON if you have it. GMRS channel 16. CB channel 16. Ham or GMRS preferred for most rides in the future. You can pick up a GMRS handheld set at any box store. I will be relating most info on GMRS or Ham vs CB.

Recovery Gear: Tow rope, tree saver, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher. Winch recommended for the Camp Sinawa leg or we'll space the winches between those who don't have one.

Please be sure the Christmas lights are only on when we are off the road. It is illegal to travel with Christmas lights on while on a roadway, and we don't want anyone getting a ticket.

RSVP here includes our collective donation to Camp Sinawa and an optional embroidered commemorative RL4WD shirt. - https://rl4wd.com/shop/SEWI-Dec-2020-Premium-Member-Charity-Overlanding-4X4-Ride-p250556801 this helps us get a good headcount so we can plan a good time and route.
