Welcome to our first Online/On-Site Hybrid Trail Ambassador class! To become certified with RL4WD, you'll need to take both online sessions.

Online class runs on March 25th and 26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on both dates.

This will be the first Division 1 (ATV/UTV) and Division 2 (RL4WD WI) combined online class.

Purchase tickets herehttps://www.rl4wdstore.com/product/TrailAMbassadorClassMarch2020/8?cs=true. This is for your book, forms, online page, vest, custom shirt, badge, background check and 2 year premium membership extension (membership is worth $100 alone). The cost is $75 for it all.

After you pass the class, the training day will include an introduction to the Camp Sinawa rangers and how you can host rides at this private location with 2 or more ambassadors. We'll also talk about the 1869 Homestead property and the Embarrass River ATV park which we got open for 4x4's because of the Trail Ambassadors! We'll discuss how to host informal rides for crawling, overlanding, social events and more to keep this thing growing the right way.

Not into hosting rides? No problem!!! Most ambassadors just start by patrolling trails and reporting trail conditions. We have our own app for this, forms, and comm center to aid you however we can. We love seeing couples become ambassadors together so any day can be a ride day we can submit hours on!!!

Once you join, you'll be given the online link, a copy of your background check, and more details will be posted here

Online Info -

Are you interested in supporting your recreations trail system? The Trail Ambassador program is a fantastic way to volunteer your time while you are out having FUN.

Our next online class runs on March 25th and 26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on both dates.

What is a Trail Ambassador? We are the eyes and ears for our land managers, law enforcement and partnering agencies. Our job is to observe and report.

Our volunteers have a set of standard operating guidelines that are followed to ensure our ambassadors are safe. These guidelines also help keep the integrity of the program.

Our interactive course uses covers the requires classroom instruction for becoming a trail ambassador. After the course, ambassadors will need to participate in a field day before becoming certified trail ambassadors. Field days are held as needed but can be conducted by any club / regional coordinator around the state.

We do have a few pre-requisites for the program.

You must complete your WI DNR ATV safety course if you're joining Division 1 (WI ATV / UTV). This can be done online.
We will run a background check on you.

Online Requirements:

This course is taught solely online. With that being said, you will need the following technical requirements prior to joining:

Active high-speed internet connection
Device with a camera
Speakers / Headphones
Functional Keyboard

Plan on joining the online session at least 15 minutes early to ensure there isn't any technical problems. If you pre-register ahead of time, you should receive a 3-ring binder to follow along with during the class. Otherwise there will be a PDF document for students to follow along with as well.

With the martial law (PC wording saferathome) crap we have no choice but to postpone the hands-on training. The online class will proceed as scheduled I guess as we've already paid to make the books and ship them.

Sara Nelson confirmed Saturday and Sunday work for training at the camp. We'll have to use the regular trail entrance as I'm sure the lowline trail will be a mess and thawed out. You'll need to make reservations with her if you want a cabin or to rent a camping space. I may bring my camper out there to get it ready if the weather is nice.
