The Old Mill Trail runs through the Kettle Moraine State Forest.

This trail can be heavily rutted with almost level 2 depths. Be very careful to stay on the trail, do not go off the trail into the grass or this trail gets shut down! The end of the trail turns into a snowmobile trail so if the trails are open, don't go all the way down to the turnaround.

Funny story, about ten years ago I did this trail in a Honda Accord and my buddies lowered Volkswagen because we heard there was a goat man at the end of the road lol. Would not suggest doing this route in a car. Nowadays I've taken the trail twice in the last month in a more appropriate vehicle. It's a real nice short route close to home, would suggest going slower due to massive pot holes, and from other vehicles the snow has been compressed into Ice in the tire ruts make for slippery conditions when you hit the bumps. We had a blast, looking forward to more snow and some summer trips 🙂

Kids enjoy getting off the main road. Basic gravel road with potholes.  Got to test the shocks and get the gravel between the trends.

Nice short trail to get dirty on. If you want to give your shocks a work out, this is the trail to take. Plenty of rutted up holes to go over filled with water. A culvert is partially exposed at one spot where the road has been washed out but still enough road to get over it
