About the campaign

This campaign is to raise the needed funds for our 501c3 federal paperwork needed to submit to the IRS and review by hired 501c3 experts. We're making some custom stickers, shirts, awards and video for those who help with this campaign.

At our last meeting, the officers and premium members were presented with the information we'll need to submit our final IRS non-profit for review. This paperwork will give the federal government the needed items to either approve or deny our request to become a full tax-deductible 501c3 non-profit.

We need this to be approved within the allocated 27-month allowance so it has to be done and approved before the end of this year in order for us to retroactively count as a 501c3 from the date of our inception. Filing for a new 501c3 is a very expensive and time-intensive process. We're hiring the experts at CharityNet USA to make sure our paperwork is in order and they guarantee acceptance. We're looking to raise $1219 to both hire the experts and submit the IRS filing.

This campaign is specifically being set up to finish our non-profit paperwork WITHOUT redirecting funds from our normal operational expenditures or grant fund use.

Funds raised beyond the needed amount (up to $5,000) will be added to the segregated trail maintenance grant account that chapters apply for to aid in trail development.

Please help us finish this crucial step that allows us to apply for many more grants so that we can better serve the riding community and the general public.

2/12/20 8:22pm

Thank you all for meeting the initial 1200 needed to get this going. We will continue this fundraiser to the previously mentioned 5,000 for incidentals related to submitting the non-profit paperwork and consultation. Whatever isn't used will go into the trail grant account.
