After seeing pushback of a free membership option from concerned landowners, it's pretty safe to say we'll have to nix that idea. If it's going to cost us riding trails, then it's a no go.

Could we do a fully digital membership instead where we don't print a card, stickers, etc?

Something like $40 for a digital membership or $50 for a premium membership?

We can still issue a pdf membership card they can print off and bring to events?

We could still do a split for the universal membership...

We could still do 50% off for additional household memberships...

of for $10 does it really matter? Is it worth the effort?

I need some feedback on your opinions here.

As a consumer, I like options, and I like them simple with obvious value, so with that said:

Premium Membership:
-Membership card and lanyard
-In app membership card, or an email they can reference
-Full access to RL4WD.com
-FB Group Access
-24 hour early access to events/tickets

Digital Membership
-In app membership card, or an email they can reference
-Full access to RL4WD.com -minus access to blogs or classifieds something like that
-FB Group Access

Public:
-Limited access to RL4WD.com
-FB

Every club should be competitive in price, Titletown jeepers $30.00. membership doesn't include free land usage to private trails . A recent trip to moab I spent $5 to do hell's revenge and fins and things together. Membership and revenue would grow with lower prices. I personally know good friends that didn't join this group because of cost.

Indeed the cost needs to be competitive. We built this thing with the Universal Membership in place so while $50 is a lot for one club, when James Le Voy and Mike Breunig and Jason Knuth figure out something in their area, and Mysti Bennett and Cody Bennett figure something out by them, then the $50 is one price for all 3 "clubs" which is then a heck of a deal and we give about half to the local club to boot while raising funds for trail grants all of those said clubs can apply for.

The Trail Ambassadors can help at any of the clubs and host rides in most places public or private so another bonus to what we have going on.

It's hard to compare us to most traditional clubs because we've designed this thing to work differently to ultimately link clubs together, fund them, and to create a stronger unified voice.

I'm hearing the argument both ways on cost. The concept that's winning right now between board members, club members, and landowners is if you can't or won't afford $50 (a tank of gas) then it's likely helping us weed out the people we don't want at events and on our private trails anyway. I tend to agree with that, but also feel we need to have some base so people can access the info, the education and the public stuff we put out.

It's a balance of not overrunning the system and trails past what we can brush and fix. Growing too fast has given us some problems in the past, so we've slowed down a little and are taking the time to really think about how to work this for 2020 as it'l likely be the last plan we stick with going forward until someone else takes over.

I still go back to the making a profile at zero cost to see the events, public trails, reviews, some of the training stuff, and forums, but to clearly say, you have no voting rights, and most events hosted by the Trail Ambassadors are for premium members only. Just because they have a profile here, doesn't mean they're a member. A lot of the sites I see work that way, just not for 4x4 that I've seen yet.

Ultimately, I want to do whatever the members think is best. This vote and opinion area lets us talk about these ideas over time and keep things together.

I like the idea of the membership getting you access to the club overall. There are going to be times we want to come up closer to Ryan and the original group, and times we have a need for more bodies closer to us. If we are going to keep the family type mentality, I vote one membership under the umbrella of Ryan.
