I'm pleased to announce the formation of another property interested in having Slow Speed Trails on their property near Fredonia. After phone calls and a day meeting with them 2 weeks ago, it sounds like their board is giving us the green light.

The next step is to take out a group from the area and scout where to put the trails. Most of where we talked about adding trails is fairly open and it would be pretty easy to brush in some lower-level trails and an area for higher level crawling trails.

This facility is really awesome, it has cabins, beachfront, lots of kids games, zip line, indoor rec area, and lots of space to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and ride some trails. There's even talk about adding a gun range yet this year and they're building a ropes course right now too. 4X4 families would be right at home here and we're happy to help add our recreation to the mix.

Who would be available July 11th to scout? I was going to run part of the Trail Ambassador class in Tigerton, but this needs to be done and takes priority.

Once our trail locations are approved, I'd like to make an outing here to brush the trails in with as many people as we can get.

I have other arrangements for that weekend but let me know when your scouting again or doing brush work. I am excited to have something closer by and would like to volunteer.

Scouting went very well. Mapped out a bunch of slow speed trails we could make. We're working with the grounds manager right now to pull material out of the crawlers corner and maybe skillhil trail... we'll be coming up with dates for our first ride hopefully this fall. Because this facility has it all, I'd think that many more events here would be very popular with kids and families.

This location has the following amenities:
Sleeping for 300 cabins from rustic to full AC and running water bathrooms.
Private sandy beach with inflatables, dock, diving boards, boats, etc.
Lots of kids games and giant inflatable bouncing pillow
Life-sized children's table soccer (you gotta see this thing lol)
Full-sized recreation center and conference room.
High ropes course and zip line
Mess Hall
Softball field
Mini Golf
Tubing Hill
A few campsites with hookups (possibly more coming)
and now.. Slow Speed Trails!
(Soon a gun range and western-themed shops I hear)

It would be very feasible to do mega 4x4 weekends at both Camp Sinawa and here and connect them through the overlanding trails so people could have a full weekend of crawling along with family and spiritual time. We're very pleased with how this is all coming together for our local chapters of Wisconsin and Trail Ambassadors.

Most of the trails here would be tame enough for stockers and mild lifts. I wouldn't anticipate too many areas that are very extreme, but Albert Simmons did find some things better suited for the larger crawlers. We winched him backwards and it was a successful recovery.

All in all, it's been an amazing experience and we hope to host many events at this location.

A huge thanks to Bruce Nielsen Martin Lowden Ron Gundrum Albert Simmons and Kaylene Simmons for bringing your tools and sweating it out in the summer sun cutting limbs, brushing, and doing lots of manual labor to help burn in some of these trails. It's this dedication that helps us all get more riding areas to enjoy!!!

I have sent them a list of areas to start digging material out of and requested the use of their telephone poles or any logs that fall to start building up the crawler's corner trail.

It's all set up and ready to rock. Ron Gundrum and Martin Lowden were going to form a club or do rides as it's 10 minutes from Ron's farm where he's building some small trails and such too. Hopefully, we can get something rocking down in West Bend so monthly rides can be had!

I was trying to lead the way but it's just too much for me to handle on top of the association stuff. It needs local Trail Ambassadors to host some rides. I'll help where I can but...
