I took my boys across the peninsula along the Marquette to Manistique route, which is a converted rail grade.
I couldn't find a Jeep route from Marquette as it was ATV under 65" only, so we picked it up in Munising.
Cole Creek would have worked in the Au Train area, looking back, and would make for a great day trip as it connects with the Rock River Wilderness and a nice hike to a falls on the Rock River.
From Munising the route follows the Haywire Trail. It was an easy trail with historical markers along it from the rail stops.

I will work on joining the Cole Creek route and making it a full day.
The lack of signal made me miss a portion, and the day I did Cole Creek was more fun with some level 2-3 connections and sand.

I am planning on doing this over the Thanksgiving weekend, is there anything I should be aware of?
